Sony Xperia 5 Officially Released 6.1-inch 21:9 Screen, Easy To Master With One Hand
Sony officially announced the Xperia 5 ‘small screen’ flagship phone at the IFA in Berlin, because it uses a 21:9 display, even if the screen size is 6.1 inches, the width of the phone is maintained at 68mm, similar to iPhone 7 ( 4.7-inch). It is quite large enough to make it easy to master with one hand. Users who like small mobile phones can pay attention to the new ‘Compact’ model released by Sony.
In terms of hardware, Sony Xperia 5 equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor + Adreno 640 GPU, built-in 6GB memory + 128GB flash memory, with single card and dual card version. The dual card version also supports SD card expansion, up to 1TB external card. The built-in battery capacity is 3140mAh, support 18W wired fast charge. It also supports side fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth 5.0, stereo speakers, IP65/IP68 dustproof and waterproof.
In terms of the screen display, Xperia 5 uses a 6.1-inch OLED display, which uses a 21:9 aspect ratio, with a resolution of 2520×1080, a pixel density of 449 ppi, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and support X-Reality image quality engine. The body is covered with Corning gorilla glass 6. Because of the 21:9 screen, Sony Xperia 5 screen size has reached 6.1 inches, but the body width of this phone is still within 70mm, equivalent to the width of the 4.7-inch iPhone.
On the camera part, Sony Xperia 5 is equipped with a rear 12 megapixel wide-angle (supports Dual Pixel PDAF, 5-axis OIS, f/1.6, 1/2.6) + 12 megapixel telephoto (PDAF, 2x optical zoom, 5-axis OIS, F / 2.4) + 12 megapixels super wide-angle (f / 2.4) three cameras, support 960fps slow-motion video shooting and eye-tracking technology. The front camera is 8 megapixels with HDR and 5-axis EIS.
In other respects, Sony Xperia 5 runs Android 9 system, the whole phone size is 158 x 68 x 8.2mm, supports dynamic vibration system, equipped with mobile image processing engine ‘X1 for mobile’, supports Dolby panoramic sound.
The phone will be available in October at the earliest, but the specific price has not yet been announced.
