They grab them by the handful and practically lick the bowl clean.I always try to plan ahead with snacks so that I don’t hear, “Mom, I’m hungry. There’s nothing to eat!” With these tasty crackers stored in my pantry, I can stop that conversation before it even happens. They know there is a delicious snack there for them when the afternoon munchies hit.What Are Oyster Crackers?These tiny little crackers were originally created and meant to be used in Oyster stew. If you’ve even been to the East Coast you know that if you order a bowl of any kind of chowder, oyster crackers usually come right with it. I think they actually look a little like an oyster too, so maybe that is how they got their name?They tend to be somewhat flavorless on their own, as they are meant to complement the soup or dish they are being added to. We simply took that standard cracker and added some tasty seasonings!Seasoned Oyster Cracker RecipeTo make this bite-sized snack you will need the following ingredients:Oyster CrackersButterWorchestershire Sauce (Don’t be scared, it is not overpowering at all!)Garlic PowderOnion PowderCelery SaltLemon JuiceParsleyHow to Make Seasoned Oyster CrackersTo make this awesome little snack simply mix together the butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt, lemon juice, and dried parsley. Once all of those ingredients are well combined, add in the crackers. Mix until you are certain that every last cracker is coated.Next, transfer the crackers to a parchment-lined baking sheet, spread them into one even layer, and set them in a low-temperature oven (about 250 °F) for about 25-30 minutes. Once the crackers are golden brown and slightly crispy, take them out of the oven to cool. If they are still a little soft it is ok, they will continue to crisp up outside of the oven.Let them cool completely and then serve!
