iPhone 11 Pro multiple camera simultaneous recording function also supports iPhone XS and iPhone XR
At the Apple event, Filmic Pro demonstrated the multiple cameras simultaneous recording function of iPhone 11 Pro. Besides iPhone 11 Pro, this feature can also appliable in the iPhone 11, iPhone XS, iPhone XR and 2018 iPad Pro.
The multi-camera recording function relies heavily on the new APIs that are open in iOS 13 at 2019 WWDC. Apple has emphasized that it will make more significant improvements to the hardware.
In the latest iOS 13 open API can achieve multi-cameras recording and multiple microphone recording. To achieve this function, there must be certain requirements relative to device performance. In addition to iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, the A12 devices iPhone XS / XS Max and iPhone XR and the 2018 iPad Pro can also use the multi-camera mode. Although the three cameras (two main lenses and the front lens) can be activated at the same time on the iPhone XS series, there is certain limitation (Only certain camera combinations can be allowed for multiple cameras recording).
However, it is a pity that the built-in camera app does not support multi-camera simultaneous recording. Currently, it can only be implemented by the third-party tool ‘Filmic Pro’. This function is more convenient for a film creator, YouTuber and travel vlogger. It’s more convenient to get more perspectives instantly. iOS 13 will be officially launched on September 20.
