AMD’s first over Nvidia On GPU Marketshare: Jon Peddie Research
Market research institution Jon Peddie Research released the latest GPU market share survey report. The report shows that AMD GPU shipments surpassed Nvidia for the first time in five years in the second quarter of 2019.
Overall, Q2 GPU shipments reached 76.7 million in 2019, an increase of 0.6% from the previous quarter. In the second quarter of 2019, AMD’s shipments in the GPU market increased by 9.85%, Intel and Nvidia fell by 1.44% and 0.04% respectively. It should be noted that AMD has not yet launched a new Radeon RX 5700 series graphics card in the second quarter.
